The Museum has strong links with the Department of History and
Archaeology at the University of Chester. The University offers a
Masters degree in Military History and, in conjunction with the Museum,
runs an annual visiting speaker programme in military history.
During their second year as part of their course students complete a five week placement at the museum during which time they complete a temporary exhibition.
In addition, the large collection of archives has been made available for
academic and student research again as part of the work placements in the Museum. Such arrangements are of considerable mutual benefit to the University and the Museum.’
